The world can be falling apart around us, and God is still God. If he is good and trustworthy and loving, then we need not fall apart. We can submit our plans and our understanding of good to him, because he will always act for our actual benefit and his glory.
NOTE: The concept of a "God-shaped hole" was incorrectly attributed to René Descartes, when it was in fact from Blaise Pascal's "Pensées."
Comic frames come from "On Fire" by K.C. Green, originally posted January 9, 2013 on Green's webcomic, Gunshow.
The video clip shown was the Devil's Snare scene from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," (Warner Bros., 2001).
(Listener is cautioned that Pastor K.J. does not vouch for the appropriateness for the viewer of any of Green's materials or "Harry Potter" materials beyond what was utilized for illustration in his sermon.)
